Air conditioning is the process of removing hot air and moisture from a closed environment. It is a part of HVAC(Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning), which is also referred to as high-voltage alternating current. HVAC is a subdiscipline of Mechanical Engineering relied on principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. One needs to have strong basics in the refrigeration cycle and heat pumps to develop a good knowledge of air conditioning. Air conditioning has both domestic and industrial uses in the same ratio.
